Gene was born and raised in Toronto. Gene obtained a diploma from the Mechanical Engineering – Technology program at Centennial College. He continued his education to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lakehead University. He worked in the field for several years with a steel company that manufactured large diameter pressure vessels for the Petrochemical, food, military and medical industries. After 5years of working in that field, he was presented an opportunity to be his own boss by partnering up with a few individuals to open Scraper’s Edge. Scraper’s Edge own several patents to their technology and is now Canada’s ‘ONLY’ national floor/surface removal company. 10 years later Scraper’s Edge is the industry leader in floor demolition with over 5million square feet of flooring removed in 2018 alone. Scraper’s Edges technology and expertise, gives their clients the ‘Edge’ over their competition.
